Light Transmittance In colorless form, Plexiglas® sheetis as transparent as the finest optical glass. Its total light transmittance is 92 percent, and haze measurement for colorless Plexiglas® sheet averages only 1 percent.
Weight Plexiglas® sheet is less than 50 percent as heavy as glass and 43 percent as heavy as aluminum.

0.74 1.10 1.48 | Chemical Resistance While most household cleaners can safely be used with Plexiglas® sheet, the material is affected by alcohol, paint thinners, turpentine and similar solvents. Chemical resistance can be influenced by several factors, including stresses generated by fabricating operations and end-use stresses caused by changes in temperature, etc.
Weather Resistance Plexiglas® sheet has proved its ability to withstand weather and sun exposure with negligible loss of light transmittance and clarity. No other type of plastic offers this assurance of satisfactory outdoor performance.
Plexiglas® UF-3 sheet will maintain its ultraviolet filtering capabilities when exposed to sunlight. In fact, after nine years' exposure in Florida (45°facing south), there is little change in its UV transmittance characteristics.
