Solarkote® Acrylic Capstocks for ABS

Solarkote^® A200-101
Optimized for thin gauge co-extrusion, this grade of material provides a high gloss surface, good chemical resistance, and good system impact for a co-extruded Solarkote^® / ABS sheet. This grade of material will not adhere to HIPS.

Solarkote^®A201- “GT” Pre-colors
Solarkote^® A201 “Gloss Technology” is a proprietary blend of Solarkote^® color technologies to deliver the optimal balance of impact performance, and high-gloss aesthetics after thermoforming. This technology is not available in clear. The purpose of the Solarkote^® A201 pre-colors was to avoid the “milky-ness” that developed in historic dark colored co-extruded Acrylic / ABS systems.

The Solarkote^® A201 platform is being used to develop a line of “pre-approved” colors for “branded colors”. An example of some current approved colors include:

The Solarkote^® Pre-color product line is dedicated to delivering the most thermally and environmentally stable systems to the market. Solarkote^® Pre-colors are subjected to accelerated and real-world aging studies to insure that the performance is what the end user expects. Solarkote^® A201 Pre-colors will not adhere to HIPS.

Solarkote^® Acrylic Capstocks for HIPS

Solarkote^® H300-101
Optimized for thin gauge co-extrusion, this grade of material provides a high gloss surface, fair chemical resistance, and good system impact for a co-extruded Solarkote^® / HIPS sheet. This grade of material will adhere to HIPS.

Solarkote^® H330M-101
Low Gloss top-coat that has a distinct matte, or “pebbly” surface, that is maintained through the thermoforming process. The gloss level for this material when extruded with smooth rolls is typically ~35-38 on a 60 deg. gloss meter. This grade of material will adhere to HIPS or ABS sheet.

Solarkote^® H310M-101
Low Gloss top-coat with a “Satin” gloss characteristic that is maintained through the thermoforming process. The gloss level for this material when extruded with smooth rolls is typically ~15-18 on a 60 deg. gloss meter. This grade of material will adhere to HIPS or ABS sheet.
